I want to become a genetic counselor or engineer?

I am a junior and High School and I’ve been thinking about what job I want to pursue in the future. I loved when we studies genetics in Biology and I would like to become either a genetic counselor or engineer.

I want to know:
A. Difference between the two.
B. Which choice has better job oportunities
C. Aprox. salery of the two
D. What to major in college and how many years of school after high school.

    An engineer would make the most money, but may require the most schooling.

    You can expect a minimum of six years of college for a MS, or eight to ten years of college for a PhD.

    Look at salaries dot com or pay dot com for pay scales.

    You’d need to take as many biology and chemistry courses as you possibly can (but major in Bio) plus at least one year of physics.

    Keep in mind that you will need to learn math, at least through statistics and depending on the school, probably college level calculus.

    I have the same problem. Your two career choices are unusual because most people who like bio can’t stand engineering. I say you just pray to God and do what feels right.
